Today, in the modern world, saving energy is an integral part of the life of a civilized society. This includes taking care of your health, saving money and living comfortably. But one of the most important (global) features of energy saving is the protection of the environment from negative impacts.
Energy saving concept
The very concept of "energy saving" began to be used in many countries a long time ago, back in Soviet times.Energy saving today is characterized by the conceptual apparatus given in the main federal law "On energy saving and increasing energy efficiency and on amendments and additions to certain legal acts."

Energy saving is based on an energy resource as an energy carrier that can be used in any activity.
The federal law on energy conservation also introduces the concept of "secondary energy resource", which is an energy resource obtained as a result of any technological process that is not aimed at energy production.
Energy saving is any activity aimed at reducing the volume of use of energy resources without jeopardizing the main function of their use.
Despite the extreme accuracy of the definitions, there is often confusion in the concepts of "energy saving" and "energy efficiency".Accordingly, this section provides a definition of the latter.
Energy efficiency is a certain set of characteristics that reflect the relationship between the effect of using energy resources and the costs of the energy resources themselves. The energy saving efficiency is characterized, among other things, by the energy efficiency class, which reflects the degree of usefulness of the product in terms of energy saving.Special energy research is conducted to determine energy efficiency.
Two living spaces, at the rate of 95 kWh per 1 m2.In this regard, changes were introduced that led not only to the regulation of energy consumption, but also to the application of specific energy-efficient solutions in residential and public building projects.

Currently, various energy-efficient solutions are used in residential and social buildings (kindergartens, schools, etc.):
- Devices are used for automatic measurement of the flow of hot water and coolant in the heating system.
- Battery-operated regulators are used that allow each resident to adjust the temperature in the room at their own discretion.
- Pipelines are insulated to reduce heat loss.
- Ventilation units with a heat recovery system are used.
- The building envelopes are high-quality insulation and three-chamber windows with double glazing.
In addition to the standardization of building design, certain measures have been developed to stimulate energy-efficient residential construction. For example, there are tax incentives for owners of energy efficient buildings:
- Property with a high energy efficiency class is not included in the tax base for three years from the date of registration.
- It is possible to double the depreciation of such assets.
Tariff incentives are also used as a method of motivating the rational consumption of energy by city residents.
State information system on energy saving
The State Information System (GIS) "Energy Efficiency" is the center of accumulation of all information on energy saving.Designed for the population of the country, legal entities, civil servants. In addition to informing about new energy-efficient solutions, achievements of modern innovators, helping companies and private house owners to reduce energy consumption, this platform is also used by state services to collect information on the energy consumption of budgetary organizations.
The last function is implemented through the "Information on energy saving and energy efficiency increase" module. Here, budget organizations and municipalities fill out online energy consumption declarations using the following data:
- Energy passport.
- Charter of the organization.
- Staff organizational chart.
- Fuel and energy bills.
- Technical passport of the building and data from BTI.

This energy saving module allows saving the resources of organizations that are required to report to the federal authorities on the consumption of energy resources, and provides government agencies with the opportunity to quickly and thoroughly analyze and draw conclusions about changes in the country's energy policy.
In conclusion, it is worth noting that saving energy is not just about saving money.First of all, it is a concern for the future in which our children will have to live.
